Privacy Policy

We do not store your data

All tools on Utilitools run entirely in your browser. Any values, text, or numbers you enter into a tool are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to or stored on any server. We have no access to what you type, calculate, convert or process.

What we do retain

The only data we retain is a server-side log of which pages were accessed and the IP address the request came from, in addition to feedback you share with us. This is standard web server logging used solely to monitor traffic, detect abuse, and understand which tools are popular. These logs are automatically deleted after 3 days. No personal profiles are built and all data we retain is merely an aggregate, and the data is never sold or shared with third parties.

Cookies & local storage

We use localStorage to remember your preferences and use history within this browser (such as display settings and some persistent inputs). This data never leaves your browser and is kept only for your convenience. No tracking cookies are set by Utilitools.

Retained feedback data

Within each tool you may be able to provide feedback through the thumbs down button or the "Report a problem / Share feedback" button. You may also vote up (thumbs up) or down (thumbs down) on any tool. All of this data is stored in a secure database and may be used to help guide the development process of the website.

Inside the feedback box you may check a checkbox (unchecked by default) to share your tool usage data along with your feedback. If checked, we will receive, along with the feedback text, a copy of some or all of your inputs to the tool at the time of clicking "Submit". Some generic data such as browser and platform may also be included. This data is used to help debugging or informing the investigative process following the feedback.

Advertising

Utilitools may display ads through third-party ad networks. These networks may set their own cookies to serve relevant ads. We keep ads minimal (one per tool page) and have no control over data collected by ad providers.
